Capital On Tap is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Data Platform team in London on a hybrid basis (2 days in the office). You will be embedded with the Data Platform and Data teams to support ingestion, exports, model deployments, and data warehouse management, while collaborating with Database Engineering on OLTP platforms (SQL Server and MongoDB). You will design, build, and monitor systems to improve speed, reliability, and scalability; prevent issues before they occur; and reduce manual toil.

Responsibilities include: - Managing and automating resources in Azure, Datadog, NGINX, and Cloudflare - Developing, deploying, and monitoring Kubernetes and Serverless resources - Building, managing, and evolving infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm, and Go CRDs - Designing monitoring, alerting, and SLIs/SLOs with Datadog - Aligning with Product on service level objectives and core SLAs - Collaborating with core teams to build reusable automated solutions - Optimising CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Octopus Deploy, MirrorD, Flux) - Leading incident response and post-mortems to protect customer experience - Providing support to other teams on database-focused applications and resource planning - Improving data system reliability, resiliency, and maintainability
What we’re looking for: - Experience managing public cloud environments - Proficiency with IaC (Terraform, etc.) - Experience with CI/CD and automation - Proficiency with containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker) - Experience with cloud monitoring solutions - Scriptin
