We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Quick-Commerce Global Services team in Barcelona to support the group’s ecosystem with scalable technologies. In this role, you will be part of a central Barcelona-based team that collaborates with cross-functional groups to build solutions that enable onboarding and early integration of our partners. You will troubleshoot issues, identify complex problems, and implement timely fixes. You will work on a next-generation platform that supports groceries and other daily needs, collaborating with product managers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders across Q-Commerce. Responsibilities include designing and building scalable distributed systems and microservice architectures, implementing event-driven patterns with Kafka, SNS/SQS, or Google Pub/Sub, and applying observability practices with Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog. You will contribute to engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, system design best practices, and strong English communication. You may mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions, coordinating with multiple teams.
