About the role

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure, on the One Platform – Inception team to help empower Google Cloud’s API producers by providing foundational infrastructure to manage, build, and deploy API service configurations with high velocity and reliability.

One Platform is Google's standard API platform for creating, managing, securing, and consuming APIs and services across organizations. It is used by Google APIs, Cloud APIs, Cloud Endpoints, and API Gateway. Service Infrastructure offers features such as authentication, authorization, auditing, rate limiting, analytics, billing, logging, and monitoring. One Platform is evolving to become the foundational API Platform across environments like Compute infrastructure, GCP and GDC for all services including first-party, third-party, and acquisitions.

The Inception team, part of One Platform, has the mission to empower Google Cloud’s API producers by providing the foundational infrastructure to manage, build, and deploy API service configurations with high velocity and reliability.

Responsibilities

Qualifications: Minimum:

Design and implement high-performance, reliable infrastructure in Inception.
Drive product excellence through testing, automation, and experimentation.
Collaborate with partner teams in design and experience.
Manage and improve the automated build and deployment workflows to ensure safe, staged rollouts of API configurations.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 year
