Area Sales Manager for the German-speaking market at KERN & SOHN GmbH is responsible for the care and development of existing and new customers within the assigned territory. Key duties include regular customer visits in the sales area, independent acquisition of new business partners, and professional communication throughout the sales cycle. You will expand existing business relationships through active relationship management and tailored terms, and provide holistic strategic support for key accounts. The role also involves opening new market segments and identifying growth opportunities, conducting market and competitive analyses, and deriving strategic actions. Responsibilities include price and contract negotiations with existing and new customers, structured territory planning with visits and route planning, and prioritization of potential customers. Maintain the sales pipeline, produce revenue forecasts, and provide regular reporting to sales leadership. Organize and participate in national and international trade fairs; plan and conduct customer and product trainings (in person or online). Collaborate closely with internal teams such as product management, marketing, category management and customer service, and maintain all sales activities in the CRM. Location: Balingen, Germany. International travel is expected (approximately 35 days per year). English is required; additional languages are a plus. Proficient use of CRM systems, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
