Vinted is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Buyer Domain to join the Content Visibility Platform (CVP) team. The CVP owns the core platform and services that govern how content is geofenced, balanced, and surfaced across Vinted’s international markets, enabling cross-border visibility and optimizing liquidity metrics such as Sell-Through Rate (STR) and GMV. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems; contributing to the technical direction of the backend services; shaping global features; and owning service performance with SLIs/SLOs and on-call rotations. Collaborate with product managers, analysts, SREs, and other engineering teams (e.g., Search and Recommender) to accelerate product development, run experiments, and automate content visibility testing and analysis. Lead and mentor other engineers, provide feedback, and promote engineering best practices. You should have extensive experience with backend development (Go, Kotlin, Ruby, Python) and familiarity with event streaming platforms like Kafka; search and retrieval technologies (e.g., Vespa, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch); CI/CD, observability (Grafana, Kibana); relational and in-memory databases; and strong English communication.
