Based in Staines-upon-Thames, United Kingdom, this hybrid Principal Product Designer role with IFS focuses on owning end-to-end product design for defined feature areas. You will design for people whose work matters—maintenance engineers, field service technicians, and operations planners—where the software either enables or hinders critical tasks. What you'll do: - Product Design: Own end-to-end design for defined feature areas—from problem framing to production-ready assets—with clear rationale for decisions. Collaborate in cross-functional squads and present design thinking to stakeholders with evidence. - Discovery & Research: Plan and run user interviews, JTBD analysis, and journey mapping; translate findings into clear design direction; track quantitative signals alongside qualitative insights to drive iteration. - AI & Emerging Technology: Design AI-driven features with a clear understanding of where AI helps and where it introduces risk; include prompts, fallbacks, and human-in-the-loop moments. Consider how interfaces may evolve and what should replace them. - Design Systems &
