Empire Distributors Inc is hiring a Retail Wine Sales Representative to sell wine, beer, and related products to assigned accounts as part of a wholesale distribution operation in Nashville, Tennessee. This on-site role travels daily through the territory to call on regular customers, solicit orders, present items for distribution, maintain company merchandising standards, and handle damages and off-condition product. The representative communicates with the District Manager or Area Sales Manager to resolve customer problems, coordinates deliveries, identifies customer needs, and executes sales plans to meet distribution goals. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining distribution tracking reports, planning and goals, case quotas, and dollar objectives, as well as maintaining regular communication with the District Manager, Area Sales Manager, and the Vice President/General Manager. The role participates in supplier work-withs, supplier surveys, preparation for Empire/Supplier surveys, training, and attends General Sales Meetings, trade shows, and special events. It may involve travel to different wine-producing regions around the world and requires conduct of business in compliance with local and state laws. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications include an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
