Environmental and Energy Management Systems Program Manager
Overview: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Google's Environmental and Energy Management System (EEMS) for Google Data Centers (GDC) across Europe, aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, applicable regulations, and Google standards.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Establish, implement, and maintain a compliant EEMS across all GDC operating models; ensure external certification audits, regulatory submissions, and ongoing EEMS compliance in the EMEA region.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate end-to-end environmental and energy risks; investigate incidents and recommend global measures to prevent recurrence.
- Define and lead continual improvement initiatives using benchmarking, process excellence tools, and KPIs aligned with Google Data Center strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, data center operations, and contractors; develop targeted communications and training to drive energy awareness and program success.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Geology, Biology, Meteorology, or related fields; at least 2 years of program management experience implementing environmental or energy management systems in Europe.
- Preferred: Master's degree; experience in environmental incident management, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, risk assessments; knowledge of mission-critical operations with respect to environmental and energy manage
