JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join its Consumer & Community Banking division. As a core technical contributor on an agile team, you will design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable backend solutions using Java and cloud technologies, supporting the firm’s business objectives across multiple functions.
Key responsibilities: - Develop production-grade Java code, perform reviews and debugging, and troubleshoot across systems. - Improve operational stability by identifying opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues. - Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability to existing systems. - Drive communities of practice to promote new technologies and practices. - Leverage enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, with peer review and automated testing to ensure security and correctness. - Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development and automation, to increase value.
Required qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of Java experience; hands-on system design, development, testing, and operational stability. - Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Kafka; multi-region deployments; cloud infrastructure. - Demonstrated ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security. - Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling. - Experien
