About the role

The Lake House is seeking a Facilities & Engineering Manager (Exempt) to oversee the safe, efficient, reliable, and well-maintained operation of the resort’s buildings, grounds, mechanical systems, utilities, pools and spas, and physical assets. This role leads the Facilities team, oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, supports capital projects, manages outside contractors, and ensures that work aligns with The Lake House on Canandaigua’s luxury service standards. The Facilities Manager also oversees the property's loss prevention program and serves as an active member of the Beyond Green Committee.

The Lake House is seeking a Facilities & Engineering Manager (Exempt) to oversee the safe, efficient, reliable, and well-maintained operation of the resort’s buildings, grounds, mechanical systems, utilities, pools and spas, and physical assets. This role leads the Facilities team, oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, supports capital projects, manages outside contractors, and ensures that work aligns with The Lake House on Canandaigua’s luxury service standards. The Facilities Manager also oversees the property's loss prevention program and serves as an active member of the Beyond Green Committee.

Essential Functions: - Department Leadership and Administration: Lead, schedule, train, coach, and develop Facilities Department personnel; plan staffing and work schedules to support business levels, guest needs, events, and emergency coverage; assign and prioritize work orders; maintain accurate records; manage departmental expenses and vendor relationships; provide regular updates to Hotel Manager and General Manager; attend leadership meetings. - Facilities, Engineering, and Asset Management: Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, life-safety, kitchen, laundry, pool and spa, and other critical building systems; manage preventive maintenance programs; perform inspections; coordinate outside contractors; assist with capital planning and renovations; develop operational plans for emergencies; support grounds, event setup, and seasonal needs. -
