About the role

AFRY USA LLC is seeking a Project Manager II based in Birmingham, Alabama, to lead complex, cross-functional projects across the Chemical & Bio Refining, Pulp & Paper, and Mining & Metals sectors. The Project Manager will have full authority and accountability throughout the contract lifecycle, including defining scope, cost, and schedule parameters, managing budgets and resources, and mitigating risk to deliver successful outcomes for clients. This on-site role requires strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen to represent the company and coordinate with client teams.

Responsibilities

Develop written project plans establishing the project charter, scope of work, cost, and schedule parameters; manage the project in accordance with AFRY USA LLC’s procedures and the contractual agreement with the client.
Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements; serve as client liaison and speak for the company in meetings; supervise personnel assigned to the project team.
Monitor project status and inform clients and AFRY management of developments that may affect scope, schedule, budget, quality, financial performance, and client relations; participate in contract change negotiations.
Ensure proper documentation of meetings and communications; assist in the preparation of proposals, marketing materials, and technical presentations.
Prepare project procedures manuals, design criteria documents, and field procedures as appropriate; develop project controls to cover all phases of work; coordinate information flow to the design team and
