Overview: The Michaels Organization is a national leader in residential real estate offering development, property management, construction, and investment capabilities. We are seeking a Community Manager to oversee on-site property operations for one or more residential communities in Fairfax, Virginia.

Role and Responsibilities: The Community Manager will provide leadership and direction to on-site staff, manage budgets and financial reporting, oversee property maintenance, leasing and collections, and ensure a high-quality resident experience. Key duties include: hiring, training, and evaluating staff; scheduling and approving time off; enforcing safety procedures and reporting incidents; designing and executing marketing campaigns for leasing; preparing lease agreements and related forms; staying informed about market conditions and adjusting strategies to remain competitive and compliant with applicable laws; ensuring residents meet eligibility requirements and addressing non-compliance; assisting with annual budget preparation and maintaining accurate financial records; supervising contractors and negotiating contracts; coordinating move-in/move-out inspections and agency inspections; building positive relationships with residents and community partners; complying with corporate accounting and operations directives; inspecting property and implementing improvements; obtaining required certifications within the first year; and performing other duties as assigned.
