Ellwood National Forge (ENF) is seeking a Staff Accountant I in the Accounting Department. This non-exempt position is based in Pleasant Township, Pennsylvania, with assignments potentially traveling to Corry and Warren plants and reports to the Director of Finance and Controller. Responsibilities include financial accounting such as general ledger maintenance, journal entries, month-end close, accounts receivable and accounts payable; posting journal entries, cash receipts, inter-company transactions and reconciliations; account analysis and schedules for internal and external audit requirements; reconciling expense accounts; providing backup support for other accounting functions; maintaining controls to ensure the integrity of the accounting system; and ensuring all financial records accurately reflect the company's financial position. Other duties as assigned and regular attendance as scheduled. Minimum qualifications: a BS or BA with a major in Accounting or Finance; knowledge of GAAP; strong PC literacy (spreadsheets and word processing); excellent verbal and written communication skills; proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong desire to succeed; ability to maintain confidentiality.
