The Office of Innovation & Technology (OIT) is the central IT agency for the City of Philadelphia, overseeing major information technology initiatives that serve the city’s businesses, residents, and visitors. The role ensures department requests are evaluated against existing OIT services, approved platforms, tools, and internal capabilities before new technology purchases or custom development. The position serves as a trusted advisor and strategic liaison between department leadership and OIT, ensuring technology recommendations are aligned with business needs, cybersecurity requirements, data governance expectations, service catalog offerings, and long-term supportability. The role will lead the initial nine-department service model, manage team priorities, provide guidance to department-facing staff, coordinate with technical teams, and report outcomes to OIT leadership.
