Overview: Goodwill Houston is seeking a Retail Team Lead to support daily store operations and the donation area. Under the supervision of the Store Manager and District Director, you will help manage retail activities, supervise team members, and deliver world-class customer service while ensuring efficient processing of donations and accurate cash handling.

Responsibilities

Additional Responsibilities:

Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager, including opening/closing and day-to-day store operations.
Lead and motivate the team by communicating clear goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
Process sales transactions accurately and maintain proper cash accountability at POS registers/safe.
Supervise and assist with the training and development of Team Members.
Ensure proper handling and processing of incoming donations in and out of the store per GWH policies and procedures.
Manage timely apparel and hard goods rotation according to policies and procedures.
Operate store systems and ensure financial and statistical counts are completed (donor counts, production standards, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Demonstrate professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers and colleagues.
Multi-task, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Adhere to all GWH policies, loss prevention and safety regulations, and guiding principles.
