Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Principal Memory Controller Architect to join the Compute Silicon & Manufacturing Engineering (CSME) organization. You will architect and develop memory controllers to support DDR5, DDR6, LPDDR, HBM, Type 3 CXL-based memory, RDIMM, MRDIMM, LP-MRDIMM, and emerging memory technologies. You will work closely with memory controller micro-architects, verification and validation teams to drive features into production. You will collaborate with Vendors to evaluate IP and make recommendations. You will work with the Performance Modeling team to develop cycle-approximate models of the controller and analyze Azure workload results. You will work closely with Strategic Planning and Architecture as well as internal customers to understand workload and use case requirements, with a focus on identifying full-stack optimization opportunities within the overall memory hierarchy. You will collaborate across teams to deliver the best solutions with a One Microsoft mindset.
