Decision Technologies, Inc. seeks a qualified S1000D Technical Writer to join the Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA team. The Technical Writer will support the development, update, maintainability, tracking, and delivery of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Electronic Systems Operator Manuals (ESOMs). An active Secret clearance is required. Responsibilities include updating IETMs per S1000D International Specifications, supporting planning, execution, records and report development for hardware Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), verification and validation, and other technical documentation activities at production or test facilities. The writer will provide technical support to research, evaluate, analyze, propose, and implement solutions for issues related to proper operation of the IETM/ESOM (e.g., opening, viewing, navigating, printing). They will function as a system integrator, integrating data modules for SSDS Baseline equipment into System Level and Equipment IETMs. Additional duties include analyzing the S1000D data implementation process and proposing metrics for technical performance data. The role will provide on-site and shipboard support to all integrated product support areas of SSDS and ICS baselines. Qualifications include an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; experience with Navy or DoD contracts.
