Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Access team, ensuring patient-first service and adherence to HIPAA and organizational policies.
Coordinate with hospital departments and physician offices to schedule patients and direct them through NMHC systems.
Manage data accuracy during registration, collect demographic information, and perform pre-authorization and medical necessity checks as needed.
Provide training, supervise staffing, monitor workflows, and adjust schedules to meet patient demand.
Monitor performance metrics, participate in QA, and drive process improvements.
Communicate effectively with internal customers, escalate issues to the Operations Coordinator/Manager, and maintain reliable computer systems and documentation.
Minimum two years experience in customer service or patient relations; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to read and communicate in English.
Basic computer proficiency; ability to type 40 wpm; strong problem solving and multitasking abilities.
Preferred: Bachelor\'s degree; healthcare finance or insurance knowledge; Epic experience; NAHAM credentials; revenue cycle experience.
