Ophthalmic Tester – Jacksonville, FL (On-site)

Description: The Ophthalmic Tester will handle a range of duties using ophthalmic equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare patients for their eye exam.

Duties/Responsibilities: - Complete testing for OCT, anterior segment photography, visual field, and fundus photography - Upload results of imaging and testing to the patient chart - Scan documents, prior authorizations, and other paperwork into patients’ charts - Verify letters (Diabetes, Plaquenil, Referrals, etc.) have been sent to the appropriate doctor from the previous day, and if not, send the letter - Call for labs (Quest) when needed when a scribe is unavailable - Recall patients between appointments and during downtime - Interact with patients with a high level of respect and professionalism - Comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information
