Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team manages the full lifecycle of Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, including site selection, development, and operations. Our global footprint spans more than 400 data centers in 34 countries, supported by extensive fiber optic networks. As part of the CO+I Energy Team, you will join professionals responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and delivering strategic energy projects, managing a portfolio of opportunities to advance Microsoft’s data center growth while aligning with strategies to maximize sustainability, time-to-market, and economic value. As a Senior Energy Markets Program Manager, Strategic Projects, you will oversee energy interconnection and energy supply agreements for Microsoft’s data centers. This role leads strategic data center portfolio initiatives with partners enabling behind-the-meter energy delivery programs. You will also evaluate energy markets, particularly in Texas, electric power rates, and tariffs in ERCOT and related utilities that affect power delivery and sustainability in that market. You will build and lead relationships with utilities, energy partners, and other stakeholders to pursue strategic energy supply opportunities. A successful candidate will thrive working cross-functionally with other business stakeholders to develop and provide financial analytics to support business reviews and recommendations on cost-effective power agreements to CO+I leadership.
