Account Executive II is a field-based role within Foundation Medicine’s Commercial operation, responsible for driving sales of FMI’s oncology product portfolio and cultivating relationships with oncologists and other cancer care professionals in a designated geography. This position requires travel up to 90% of the time. Key duties include meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas; creating and executing business and account plans to grow sales, acquire new accounts, and retain existing customers; engaging with key stakeholders (including c-suite, oncologists, pathologists, urologists, and admins) in collaboration with the Strategic Account Manager; coordinating with SAM on pull-through engagement for shared customers; driving National Account and other defined strategies; using analytics to identify opportunities and address adoption barriers; delivering product and market knowledge to inform territory strategy and sales decisions; educating customers on reimbursement and billing services; developing concise communications and compelling presentations; negotiating with customers to align with account plans; traveling within the assigned territory and to company meetings as necessary; integrating competitive and brand information into account plans; ensuring compliance with HIPAA and patient data privacy; applying business acumen to budgeting and forecasting; and maintaining strong relationships with day-to-day contacts.
