This role builds and maintains the foundational services and cross‑platform SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, balance UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via our cross‑platform SDK. You will optimize functionality to enable faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. You will ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. Ideal candidates think in systems, move quickly, stay focused in a fast-growing, mostly remote environment, and collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience OK but not primary); prior experience with GCP is a plus.
