This role supports System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) development and submission of NAVWAR-compliant SOVTs for shipboard and shoreside installations of NIWC Interior Communication systems, including the Integrated Voice Network, Shipboard Air Traffic Control Communications System, General Announcing, Hierarchical Yet Dynamically Reprogrammable Architecture, and Shipwide Interior Wireless Communications System. Responsibilities include researching, writing, editing and proofreading technical data for manuals, procedures and specifications; ensuring documentation is accurate, complete and meets government specifications and editorial standards; helping establish style guidelines; transforming subject matter into clear information; creating or revising hardware or software product documentation such as installation, operation and maintenance instructions and other technical publications like advisories and release notes; working under direct supervision and escalating more complex issues as needed.
