Van Cleef Engineering is seeking a Municipal Project Manager to join our Toms River, New Jersey office. You will lead municipal engineering projects including road rehabilitation, stormwater management, subdivision and land development reviews, and utility design, while coordinating capital improvement projects for public sector clients. Responsibilities include managing project budgets and schedules, assisting in preparing work plans and proposals, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing detailed engineering sketches, drawings, specifications, plans, and technical documentation to support project deliverables and client communications. You will work with professional engineers, governmental agencies, involved communities and contractors on planning, design, and permitting of infrastructure projects; represent the firm at municipal planning, zoning, and land-use board meetings; communicate project goals and updates to stakeholders including public officials and community members; review and evaluate Municipal Development Applications; attend project meetings with clients; and present monthly status reports. Leadership and mentoring: mentor and develop junior engineers and support professional growth. New business development: engage in marketing-related proposals to maintain existing clients and pursue new opportunities.
