Commercial Property Accountant
Overview: Cohen Commercial Realty, Inc., and Cohen Commercial Management, LLC, a leading Florida-based full-service commercial real estate brokerage and management firm, are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Accountant to manage full-cycle property accounting for a multi-entity portfolio.
Responsibilities
Qualifications: This is a remote position.
- Independently manage high volumes of accounts payable/receivable, general ledgers, bank reconciliations, balance sheets, and financial statements.
- Produce accurate monthly financial reports and ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for multi-entity operations.
- Conduct regular internal audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and provide insightful accounting analyses.
- Utilize Yardi Voyager to optimize property accounting processes.
- 3–5 years of commercial property accounting experience with a proven track record of independence.
- Advanced proficiency in Yardi Voyager and strong Excel skills.
- Experience in smaller company settings with experience overseeing staff; ability to work autonomously and manage a team.
- Prior experience in third-party property management accounting preferred.
