Job Title: Chief Software Engineer Position Type: Full-time, Direct W-2
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Software Engineer to lead enterprise-wide architectural initiatives, define long-term technology strategy, and deliver scalable, resilient distributed systems. The role requires deep expertise in system design, performance engineering, reliability architecture, and cross-organizational technical leadership. The successful candidate will drive strategic engineering decisions, serve as a technical authority across teams, and mentor senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities: - Define enterprise-level architectural standards, system design principles, and guardrails across multiple business units. - Lead design and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems at global scale. - Architect multi-region, globally distributed platforms with focus on availability, durability, and disaster recovery. - Drive modernization initiatives, including microservices transformation, platform consolidation, and decommissioning legacy systems. - Define API governance, data architecture, and service communication patterns across the organization. - Design systems for scalability, availability, and security, including capacity planning and resilience
