CodiLime is seeking a C Software Engineer with Python experience to join our software and network engineering team. You will work on a project focused on monitoring, maintaining, configuring, deploying, and improving enterprise router software. The role involves maintaining core system components, driving performance optimization, enhancing observability, and developing and refactoring primarily in C and Golang, while gradually replacing legacy Bash scripts. You will also create automated tests in Python to cover regressions and improve test coverage, debug complex bugs, and participate in technical discussions to implement requirements. The team size is small (less than 6 people) and includes a technical team leader and an engineering manager, with engineers skilled in Python and Golang. The client is US-based, and the work arrangement is fully remote with options for hybrid or office as needed. A strong candidate will have deep C proficiency, experience with build systems (Bazel), Python for testing, advanced debugging tools like GDB, ltrace, and pprof, and at least English B2 level. Nice-to-haves include familiarity with YANG modeling, Bash scripting, and basic networking concepts.
