About the role

At Quasar Dynamics, we are looking to add a Backend Developer specializing in PHP and Symfony with at least two years of professional backend experience, based in Valencia, Spain. You will join a small, agile team with a high degree of autonomy, working on technically challenging projects across different domains.

Responsibilities

Develop and evolve backend applications using PHP and Symfony.
Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs.
Design and manage relational databases.
Create new functionalities and evolve existing systems.
Integrate with third-party services, platforms, and APIs.
Analyze and resolve incidents.
Optimize performance and scalability.
Review and improve existing code.
Participate in technical decisions related to architecture and development.
Document developments and solutions.
Build maintainable, efficient, and scalable solutions rather than simply making features work.

Requirements

2+ years of backend development experience.
Experience with PHP.
Experience with Symfony.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming.
Experience with relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB).
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
Proficient with Git.
Ability to understand existing code and work on established projects.
Ability to analyze problems and propose autonomous solutions.
Good development practices and emphasis on code quality.
