TAE Technologies is seeking a Technical Writer to collaborate with engineers and scientists to create technical documentation, specifications, product manuals, IFUs, and service and operation manuals. The role involves maintaining documentation in accordance with ISO 9001/13485 quality management systems, reviewing drawings with engineers to prepare procurement-ready specifications, documenting design, testing, requirement traceability, and maintaining organized documents per Document Control and Quality Assurance principles. Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years in technical writing (medical background preferred), excellent technical writing skills for mechanical and electrical/high-tech products, practical knowledge of QA and document control, ability to work cross-functionally, experience coordinating with vendors for component information and quality documents, hands-on experience in managing documentation per ISO 9001. Software and skills include Adobe software, ability to use databases or write macros, basic CAD knowledge (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), strong communication, ability to work independently or in a team, and familiarity with medical industry quality systems (ISO 13485). Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or communications required; engineering/computer science/medicine preferred. Location: Irvine, California, on-site. Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 plus other elements depending on seniority.
