The Survey Project Manager oversees land surveying projects from initiation through completion, leading project teams across one or more business units, coordinating field crews, and managing schedules, budgets, deliverables, and the accuracy of survey data. The role ensures compliance with industry standards and local regulations and maintains client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include acting as the primary point of contact for clients, developing and managing proposals, project scopes, work plans, schedules, staffing assignments, budgets, quality-control reviews, reports, and project documentation. The position also trains and mentors junior staff while upholding ethical standards, industry requirements, and applicable regulations, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure survey activities follow established protocols and timelines. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications include a degree in Survey Engineering Technology, Land Survey Technology, civil technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; seven to ten years of experience leading and delivering surveying projects; and a Licensed/Professional Land Surveyor license in the applicable state. Preferred qualifications include OSHA 10 Certification and additional surveying or civil technology coursework.
Working conditions involve outdoor field work in varying weather, occasional exposure to fumes
