In this role you will perform complex accounting tasks, maintain ledgers, and prepare financial statements while supervising staff to ensure deadlines and adherence to policies. Responsibilities include preparing complex financial reports using a broad knowledge of accounting policies and procedures; preparing and/or inputting general ledger entries using established procedures and various accounting systems; researching complex accounting treatments and policies using available technology and other resources; researching and resolving complex reconciling issues and discrepancies and taking corrective action to prevent recurrence; providing customer service to internal and external groups; establishing goals and objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing training and development opportunities to motivate staff; and providing hiring recommendations and input on compensation for current staff. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent accounting experience), 5+ years of related experience, broad knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, and understanding of statutory accounting fundamentals and related financial statements.
