Staff Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy MES software solutions for GE Aerospace, including Proficy and Plant Apps, across multiple manufacturing sites. You will work independently and with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, lead design discussions, perform code reviews, and mentor junior engineers. Key responsibilities include building scalable APIs, microservices, and data processing pipelines; ensuring operational stability, security, and performance; and contributing to the strategic technical direction of the team. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from concept through testing, deployment, and production support. The role involves hands-on development, collaboration with product managers and UX designers, and driving the adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with several years in software development, strong experience with MES products, and proficiency in modern programming languages. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), SQL Server, and CI/CD is expected.
