Overview: Cypress Creek Energy is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Durham, NC. This hands-on role supports day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reports. You will report to the Director of Accounting and collaborate with the finance team and other departments to support ongoing accounting activities.

Responsibilities

Education & Experience: Skills & Abilities:

Dedicated resource for O&M/Solutions AP vendor bills; verify and process vendor bills, coordinate with PO requesters to confirm bill accuracy, enter item receipts, post vendor bills, and ensure a proper three-way match. Work with other departments when a change order is needed; ensure timely processing and AP reconciliation.
Processing and allocation of FedEx and Enterprise bills; code and associate them with the proper Sales Orders to invoice the customer.
Landing costs for accurate inventory costing; enter, track, and reconcile vendor prepayments; track and reconcile vendor returns.
Other duties as assigned.
BS in Accounting (or related major).
3+ years of experience in an accounting role; mix of public and private accounting a plus.
NetSuite experience required.
Very good understanding of Excel formulas and functions, including XLOOKUPs, pivots, and other common formulas; strong overall Microsoft Office skills.
General computer and financial systems competency; ability to learn new software quickly.
