Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Data side of our AI team in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. This remote role focuses on data collection to support model-training operations and building high-quality datasets at scale through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. You will: - Find new audio data sources and bring them into our ingestion pipeline - Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform - Collaborate with Scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality to power next-generation models - Work with the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to define the dataset roadmap for consumer and enterprise products

Requirements

What we offer:

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of industry experience in software development
Proficiency with bash and Python in Linux environments
Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts; experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (GCP)
Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication
