Required qualifications include: 5+ years of software engineering experience with modern Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Guava) or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or 9 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma. Experience designing enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices; strong object-oriented programming; and experience with the agile software lifecycle. Proficiency with Linux, Git, Nexus, and Maven is preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or TS level clearance is a strong plus).

The role also emphasizes working with AI and agent workflows: knowledge of Next-Gen Coding Agents (Claude Code, Gemini) and agentic feature delivery for multi-file implementations, refactoring, and automated testing is highly desirable. Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), distributed NoSQL databases, search engines (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr), scripting, and Big Data/Data Lake architectures is preferred.
