At Boskalis, you will join the central AI department and contribute to Event Symphony, the company’s in-house logistics simulation platform used to support tenders, project planning, and offshore/dredging operations. As a Simulation Software Engineer Intern, you will work on real feature requests, usability improvements, and bug fixes to help engineers and simulation specialists use the platform more effectively. You will collaborate with simulation engineers, software developers, and AI specialists while gaining hands-on experience in software engineering, simulation technology, and maritime operations.

Your responsibilities include: - Implementing new features in Event Symphony. - Resolving backlog items and bugs on our GitHub development board. - Improving usability and user experience of simulation workflows. - Helping develop and maintain Python-based simulation components. - Improving automated testing, documentation, and software quality. - Supporting the development of new simulation capabilities and tooling. - Working closely with simulation engineers to translate user needs into software features. - Learning how simulation and optimization support major offshore and dredging projects.
