Responsibilities - Identify emerging AI research and set the technical roadmap for Fivetran AI. - Prototype ideas quickly and turn successful concepts into production-grade features. - Define technical direction across Fivetran AI and collaborating departments, resolving architectural tradeoffs. - Build and maintain backend and frontend systems for Fivetran AI, including Agents Schema pipelines and the Context Catalog UI. - Define long-term technical vision for AISQL and natural language to SQL grounded in dbt metric definitions. - Own production reliability: on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE practices. - Set engineering QA standards and practices; contribute hands-on when needed. - Use coding agents to automate repetitive tasks, enabling focus on research and design. - Define priorities and roadmap with minimal oversight. - Mentor senior engineers and influence cross-department decisions. - Represent Fivetran AI’s technical perspective in cross-department planning. - Contribute to hiring and interview processes.
