The Imaging team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Realtime Imaging to implement and deploy the core real-time image processing software of infrared imaging systems, enabling rapid fielding to embedded and SWAP-limited hardware and secure integration into defense systems. This position is based in Boulder, Colorado, United States. You will work on Linux-based systems, become an expert in Nix and NixOS for embedded deployments, and contribute to real-time, high-bandwidth processing pipelines in C++ and CUDA. Responsibilities include defining test and simulation environments, software- and hardware-in-the-loop methodologies, and supporting end-to-end system delivery from design to manufacturing through deployment and sustainment. Required qualifications include 5+ years of professional C++ development experience, experience on Linux with low-latency, high-throughput software, firmware testing on hardware platforms, and knowledge of networking and security fundamentals; ability to learn new technologies and produce detailed technical documentation; eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance. Preferred qualifications include Linux kernel development, experience with C, Rust, Python, graphics programming or image processing, high-performance networking, and any experience with Nix/NixOS. A Secret U.S. security clearance is preferred.
