Position: Senior Software Engineer to support an internet-based social media program in Tampa, Florida. The role involves developing tools and applications for content creation, translation workflows, approval processes, publication, and audience engagement tracking. You will collaborate with developers, data engineers, and data scientists to build web and cloud-based applications using Ruby on Rails or Django/Python on Linux, deployed in AWS with MySQL and Redshift. Build and operate scalable, secure systems on AWS to ensure reliability and performance. Participate in Agile SDLC practices and collaborate using Confluence, Jira, Slack, and other team tools. Design and refine tools for data ingestion, transformation, reporting, and analytics; drive metrics and engagement analytics. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet mission requirements; communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 7+ years of software development experience; experience with Ruby on Rails or Django/Python; Linux-based development; AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift); MySQL or similar relational databases; Agile methodologies; strong Python for automation; experience building scalable, secure cloud systems. Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance preferred; highly qualified candidates eligible to obtain a clearance may be considered for upgrade to TS/SCI.
