Baselayer is building the most comprehensive, accurate, and continuously-current identity graph of US businesses and consumers. We ingest, normalize, link, and keep public records, IRS data, sanctions lists, web signals, and fraud telemetry up to date to power fraud detection, KYB onboarding, sanctions screening, and related customer-facing API products. We are hiring a senior software engineer to own end-to-end product features across that surface: schema design, data ingestion, entity resolution, API endpoints, multi-tenant scope, and performance under real customer load. You will ingest and normalize heterogeneous public records into the graph, build and maintain entity resolution and linking systems, design and ship APIs for search, lookup, monitoring, and webhook delivery, own schema design and zero-downtime migrations, optimize performance and scale, and implement multi-tenant access control at the data layer. Minimum requirements include shipped end-to-end product features across ingestion to storage to API to customer in production, ownership of a Postgres schema that business decisions depend on, strong async Python with scale, deep Postgres expertise, FastAPI or equivalent with auth, OpenAPI contracts, and structured response models, and multi-tenant APIs with correct data-layer access control.
