Responsibilities - Research emerging retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI techniques and judge what’s relevant for the Fivetran AI roadmap - Prototype new ideas quickly and ship production-grade features - Build and maintain both backend and frontend systems for the Fivetran AI product (Agents Schema pipelines and Context Catalog UI) - Contribute to AISQL capability: natural language to SQL grounded in dbt metric definitions - Own production reliability: on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work to keep the platform trustworthy at scale - Write and maintain tests and perform hands-on QA to catch issues before customers - Use coding agents to automate repetitive tasks, freeing time for research and design - Partner with product and design to shape what gets built next, based on AI tooling market insights - Develop software designs and contribute to the technical roadmap for the Fivetran AI platform - Contribute to hiring by participating in the interview process
