Mindrift is seeking a Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer to join the Tendem project and drive specialized data scraping workflows for real-world applications. This freelance, remote-only role involves web scraping, data extraction, and data processing to deliver accurate, reliable datasets. Based in Coimbra, Portugal, you will own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, ensure data quality through validation checks, and scale operations to handle large datasets and changing site structures. You will work with tools such as Apify and OpenRouter, and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), Docker, and language model-assisted automation is a plus. Requirements include 5+ years in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development, plus a strong Python background (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar) and the ability to work independently. English proficiency at B2 or higher is required. Hours are approximately 10–20 per week during active phases. Compensation is project-based and varies by project scope and expertise.
