Senior Project Manager – Department of Design & Construction, City of New York, New York, NY (on-site). The selected candidate will manage complex capital projects from concept to construction completion and close-out, partnering with Sponsor Agencies to ensure each project’s scope and vision is understood and realized. Reporting to the Deputy/Program Director, the role involves generating cost estimates for bid pricing, developing deliverable dates, and establishing schedules; supervising the project’s design, construction management, and field staff; resolving design or construction issues; and negotiating with contractors and vendors. Additional responsibilities include processing change orders and project estimates, ensuring safety requirements are met and work is completed on schedule, producing reports, attending meetings, and supervising Project Managers and Junior Project Managers. Qualifications and work eligibility: All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. DDC does not sponsor visas. Credentials must be from a U.S. Department of Education–recognized institution or evaluated for equivalency if from a foreign institution. For NYC civil service appointment, candidates should meet the agency’s criteria and understand that visa sponsorship is not provided.
