Werfen is seeking a Senior Program Manager, R&D to lead large, multi-functional product development programs in the medical device space. This on-site role based in Bedford, Massachusetts, United States requires strong leadership across R&D, quality, regulatory, and operations to deliver hardware and software projects on time and within scope. Responsibilities include program leadership, planning and scheduling, project execution and control, agile project management, risk management, design control, vendor management, cross-department collaboration, conflict resolution, and resource allocation. The role also involves supervising Program Managers and Project Managers and aligning efforts with commercial and manufacturing teams. The portfolio typically carries annual budgets between $5 million and $10 million. Travel is less than 15% of the time. Qualifications include a BS in a STEM or management discipline (MS/MBA preferred), at least 10 years of product development experience with 5 years in leadership, and familiarity with medical instrumentation product development. The salary range is $190,000 to $220,000 and includes medical/dental/vision benefits, a 401k plan with employer match, and paid vacation and sick leave; compensation will depend on experience and business needs.
