Select Ambition is seeking a Senior Practice Accountant for a confidential accountancy practice in County Meath, Ireland. This hybrid role offers ownership of a varied SME client portfolio, regular contact with business owners, and the opportunity to contribute beyond routine compliance work. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements under Irish GAAP and FRS 102 Section 1A; managing corporation and income tax assignments; supporting statutory audit work; and producing management accounts, cash-flow information, and practical commercial analyses. As a trusted client contact, you will advise on budgeting, cash flow, controls, systems, and business structures; plan assignments; maintain accurate review-ready files; and help ensure client and Revenue deadlines are met. The role also involves reviewing work completed by trainees, bookkeepers, and junior colleagues. There is scope to improve internal processes, identify advisory opportunities, and develop toward broader portfolio and practice leadership. This is a 40-hour week, based in County Meath with the possibility of working from home up to two days per week for the right person. All applications will be handled in confidence.
