Adaptive is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Barcelona for a hybrid-remote role focused on front-office trading technology. You will design and develop Java applications and libraries, write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, troubleshoot and debug applications, conduct unit testing, and participate in code reviews. You will collaborate in an Agile environment, work with DevOps to deploy applications, and stay current with Java trends. You will also contribute to strategies and use cases around Aeron, Hydra, and Artio, Adaptive’s high-performance trading technology stack. Required qualifications include server-side Java development with Core Java and at least Java 17, experience with messaging technologies, REST/HTTP, data structures, and agile methodologies. Nice-to-have skills include additional languages (C, C++, Go, Rust, C#), experience with low-latency systems, OMS/EMS/Exchange systems, equities trading exposure, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
