Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Senior General Ledger & Reporting Accountant for its Portugal Shared Services Center in Braga. This hybrid, full-time role leads General Ledger activities, owns month-end close, and drives financial reporting across multiple entities. You will act as a trusted partner to Finance and the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in all processes.

Responsibilities include leading General Ledger activities, supervising end-to-end accounting (AP, AR, Inventory, Treasury, Intercompany), managing fixed assets, and performing reconciliations and analysis. You will own corporate reporting packages (e.g., Cognos), support VAT and tax reporting and audits, ensure internal controls, and drive process improvements and automation. You will mentor junior team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide guidance during transitions.

Qualifications include a degree in Finance or Accounting, 3.5+ years in RtR accounting, experience in SSC/BPO environments, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, ERP systems and Cognos proficiency, advanced Excel, and English proficiency (B2+). Additional languages are a plus. The role is based in Braga, Portugal with a hybrid work model.
