SpotOn is seeking a Senior Data Analyst focused on retention and SaaS analytics for a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA. You will own the analytics powering SpotOn's merchant retention and SaaS business, driving insights from a merchant's journey and partnering with Product, Customer Success, Finance, Sales, and Engineering to turn data into action. Responsibilities include identifying drivers of merchant retention, churn, and software adoption; building trusted metrics, dashboards, and analyses used by executives and cross-functional leaders; creating scalable reporting, data models, and AI-powered workflows that reduce manual work and improve decision making; measuring the impact of retention initiatives; and presenting recommendations to executives. You will also automate recurring analyses and build tools to eliminate repetitive work. Requirements: 5+ years in Analytics, BI, or related roles, ideally in the software industry; advanced SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred); experience with customer retention analyses; experience building dashboards in Power BI or similar BI tools; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into clear business recommendations; comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment; experience with Python, dbt, AI coding assistants, or workflow automation tools is a plus; bonus: Netsuite or comparable ERP and SaaS metrics experience.
