Project overview: Our client develops a platform that helps students apply to college by standardizing applications to streamline submissions across colleges and universities.

What you will do: - Maintain and support the existing backend implementation - Perform requirements analysis - Develop high-quality and detailed designs - Identify risks and plan mitigations - Review the work of other developers and provide feedback - Establish coding standards and best practices to ensure quality - Maintain and support existing APIs - Enforce code quality - Maintain and support existing web services

What we’re looking for: - 5+ years of commercial Ruby on Rails experience - Strong knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns - Solid understanding of SOLID principles and their practical use - Familiarity with Rails code structuring and common Rails patterns - Hands-on experience with unit/integration tests (Minitest) - Proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) - Experience with Git version control - Familiarity with AWS - Analytical thinking, teamwork, and attention to detail - Intermediate or higher level of English and good communication skills
