This role specializes in tax preparation for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities include preparing and filing individual and business tax returns (including multi-state filings), handling bookkeeping, and preparing financial statements. The Senior Accountant will analyze financial statements to support accurate filings, support the company's CPA, manage client paperwork from intake to filing, and communicate with clients by email, phone, and in person. Use Leafnet to manage clients, place orders, apply payments, and document interactions. Coordinate with governmental offices and internal departments, maintain accurate task and database reports, and keep all company and client information confidential. Requirements include hands-on tax preparation experience; solid knowledge of individual and business tax returns; bookkeeping experience; financial statement preparation and analysis; strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws; fully bilingual in English and Spanish (speaking, writing, and reading); proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax), Microsoft Excel, Office, and Teams; 2–3 years in tax preparation or public accounting; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
